I’m not thrilled about this line, but I know there are great things going on here. Dolce & Gabban’s Fall and Winter 2010-2011 collection puts just a tad too much emphasis on Winter motifs and ski bungalow style for my taste. No doubt the designers intentions for the Fall and Winter season is very similar to that line they debuted during the Turin Winter Olympics, and yes I do detect another Winter Olympic inspired collection, in my opinion at least. Albeit the Winter centric collection is a master class in pattern making, textures, and the layering of both in various ways, as one might expect from Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Fur boots never looked more appropriate.
