A very luxurious collection by Carolina Herrera, for Fall 2010, debuted a month ago at New York Fashion Week to wide praise. In Carolina recent collections she seemed to stray from the essence that won over so many of her faithful buyers. Getting back to her uber-luxurious style will no doubt please many of Carolina’s buyers who fell in love with her when she was dressing Jackie O.
Undoubtedly, the gowns in Carolina Herrera’s Fall 2010 collection will be hot items for those looking to dole out huge dollars for fancy fashion, and yes, a few are definitely red-carpet worthy. Yet, getting back to what I think is most important about this collection is wear-ability and practical situations one can find to wear these garments. Gowns are a once in while knock their socks of type situation, but there is more than a few contemporary and chic outfits that I love.
For instance look 1 and look 2 immediately jump off the page, I can’t quite describe why exactly, because as far as dresses go they are pretty typical, yet something about both strikes me as fabulous. Look 3 is the much more refined look that typifies Herrera’s previous work it along with look 4 will have anyone seeking an upscale mature look feeling their best about their expensive buy. More pictures after the jump-off.
