Hellz Bellz - Hellz Hath No Furry Video

This just in via Hellz Bellz!

“Hellz Hath No Fury” represents Hellz as a dominant individual taking charge, and standing tall in an industry that involves a heavy does of dog-eat-dog mentality and boundless confidence. It’s undeniable that Hellz has evolved it’s design and matured it’s persona, but as always Hellz continues to celebrate the values of strong headed ladies in generation ‘Y’, and cater to the fiercest of them all. Hellz Hath No Fury, follow nobody, and take charge.

Hellz Bellz Spring 2010 Delivery 2 - Oh Bondage

Hellz Bellz Spring 2010 Delivery 2 Oh Bondage

I have a healthy obsession with Los Angles street wear brand Hellz Bellz. My love for them is totally un-sponsored, un-reciprocated, and probably not wanted (all girls club ya know!?). Additionally, they don’t even make any clothes for me (though I know a Men’s line is in the works, soonish)…But that didn’t stop me from buying a pair of Hellz Bellz Jeans, but that’s a different story for a different time.
Lanie, a/k/a Misslawn- Hellz Bellz designer, purveyor of street awesomeness, and all-around baddass B-word unleashes yet another dope collection. Spring 2010 Delivery 2 is titled ‘Oh Bondage’…it pretty much speaks for itself but I’ll let Lanie chime in with more pictures after the Jump-off:

This Spring, Hellz brings you its second delivery, ‘Oh Bondage,’ a collection rife with bondage inspired elements, carefully crafted to embody a mature sense of sexual appeal. The line is heavily influenced by the X-Ray Spex song ‘Oh Bondage,’ and utilizes zipper and strap details as both loud and subtle statements. With the juxtaposition of fashion and bondage, the collection proves to be strong and dynamic, echoing the words of Poly Styrene yelling, ‘Oh Bondage! Up Yours!’–MissLawn

Thinking Fashion

Edited by Retro Chick

It never ceases to amaze me the quality and variety of links that get submitted to IFB each week and how hard it is to pick just 20. Fashion & Style Bloggers are intelligent, thoughtful and insightful people who really understand their subject. Whether it’s Second Hand Shopper questioning the distinction between fashion and style, Shrimp Salad Circus discussing how much of ourselves we should put into our blogs or a whole plethora of posts on the subject of body image.

Of course, we also love a bargain and this week we have a DIY Pillbox Hat, tips on thrift shopping the Spring trends and a gorgeous giveaway.

I really would urge you to take the time to check out the links that didn’t make it in the forums. I don’t think there’s a bad post among them….

DIY NATION

Edited by Fashion Pulse Daily
It seems that across the board, there has been a resurgence in DIY, as we are very much living in a world of ‘Do it Yourself’ everything; ranging from creating or updating or garments’ silhouettes and decorative details to showcasing our own versions of runway looks, virtually styling with tools like Polyvore, tackling self-photography, and of course self-publishing via our blog platforms. We reign supreme in the DIY world on a daily basis, and I only see this trend gaining momentum. The roundup of this week’s links is definitely an indication, directly and indirectly, of the incredibly creative, innovative, persevering, motivated folks that are part of the new DIY frontier, and of course, IFB!

As expected, there was a fabulous round-up of links in the forum as well, all worthy of your eyeballs!

Chanel Fall and Winter 2010

Um…there’s almost too much to love and hate about Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel Fall and Winter 2010 collection. The runway show above sums it up rather nicely, but leaves me wondering if Lagerfeld is the superstitious type…does he have a unique fondness for Sasquatch or Chewbacca the Wookie? Maybe that’s just me.

Don’t trip that’s a real flippin imported ice berg, naturally since they don’t occur in France! Opulent at times (see berg of ice), daring, and in most cases scarcely ready-to-wear, Lagerfeld, ever the visionary, managed to conjure up pieces that are heartwarming and beautiful. I can’t wrap my head around the abundance of fur–it’s fake by the way–right down to fur pants and what looks like a confused Mark Rothko inspired college mascot (okay that was a cheap shot). When the designer uses fur sparingly–or not at all–it works exquisitely and shows what a true showman maestro Lagerfeld is. More must-see amazing and laughable pictures after the jump.

Carolina Herrera Fall 2010 via New York Fashion Week

A very luxurious collection by Carolina Herrera, for Fall 2010, debuted a month ago at New York Fashion Week to wide praise. In Carolina recent collections she seemed to stray from the essence that won over so many of her faithful buyers. Getting back to her uber-luxurious style will no doubt please many of Carolina’s buyers who fell in love with her when she was dressing Jackie O.

Undoubtedly, the gowns in Carolina Herrera’s Fall 2010 collection will be hot items for those looking to dole out huge dollars for fancy fashion, and yes, a few are definitely red-carpet worthy. Yet, getting back to what I think is most important about this collection is wear-ability and practical situations one can find to wear these garments. Gowns are a once in while knock their socks of type situation, but there is more than a few contemporary and chic outfits that I love.

For instance look 1 and look 2 immediately jump off the page, I can’t quite describe why exactly, because as far as dresses go they are pretty typical, yet something about both strikes me as fabulous. Look 3 is the much more refined look that typifies Herrera’s previous work it along with look 4 will have anyone seeking an upscale mature look feeling their best about their expensive buy. More pictures after the jump-off.
